The regular bus service forms the backbone of transportation for the city. Ferrying 12 lakh passengers daily, on an average, it is presently one of the most trusted modes of commuting amongst Pune residents. Plying from 5.30 AM till midnight, across the busiest routes, these buses are known for their punctuality and efficient service.

Rainbow Buses
Rainbow BRT (Bus Rapid System) Bus service is a fast, safe, cheap, and comfortable, option of bus service is available. Apart from regulating the growing traffic in the city and providing a comfortable journey to passengers, these buses also help in reducing the severity of pollution in the city.
The Pilot Rainbow BRT project was started in 03/12/2006 between Katraj to Hadapsar. Now Rainbow network is spread within the limits of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation in below mentioned BRT corridors.

Kalewadi phata to Spine road.
Sangvi phata to Kiwale.
Sangamwadi to Viswantwadi.

Rainbow BRT caters to 119 routes through 716 buses plying across the 7 corridors..
The Rainbow BRT project endeavors to provide better service at a lower cost with financial support from the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM) of the Government of India. Specific components of the project in Pimpri Chinchwad are being funded under the Sustainable Urban Transport Project (SUTP), an initiative by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. The project is also supported by the World Bank, UNDP, and GEF.
Night Buses
This is our service dedicated to a city that works even during night. PMPML has always prioritized the safety and convenience of commuters, and this becomes apparent through the arrangement. That makes it certain that no one is left behind. A fleet of 7 night buses called the Raatranis have been plying on 7 busy routes, covering the period between the start and close of the regular bus service. Pune Darshan
Be it for her scenic beauty or places of historical interest, Pune & Pimpri Chinchwad attracts a large number of tourists every year. We at PMPML ensure that their stay in the city becomes eventful and memorable. Pune Darshan & Pimpri Chinchwad Darshan is a bus service primarily meant for providing services which will promote and strengthen cultural heritage.
Interested travellers can book their tickets both online and offline. Online booking is available and closes at 12.00 am midnight for next day booking. Tickets can be also booked at the boarding points before 8.30 AM.
Pune Darshan covers 14 tourist spots. Kesari wada, Shaniwar wada, Kelkar Museum, Chaturshrungi temple, Joshi Railway Museum, P L Deshpande Garden, Saras baug, Rajiv Gandhi zoo, Shinde chhatri, War Museum, Agakhan Palace, Ballaji Temple/ Baneshwar/ Kondhanpur, Film Institute Prabhat Road, Sachin Tendulkar Cricket Museum. Per person ticket rate Rs. 500/-
Pimpri Chinchwad Darshan – Two options available.
Pimpri Chinchwad Darshan - 1 covers 10 places Iskcon Temple, Morya Gosavi Temple, Mangalmurti wada, Chaphekar wada, Chaphekar Bandhu Smarak, Science Park, Bird Valley, Dehugaon (Temple), Dehu Gatha Temple, Appughar / Durga Tekdi. Boarding place is Nigdi. Per person ticket rate Rs. 500/-
Pimpri Chinchwad Darshan - 2 covers 10 places Shivsrushti, Science Park, Chaphekar Bandhu Smarak, Morya Gosavi Temple, Mangalmurti wada, Chaphekar wada, Iskcon Temple, Appughar / Durga Tekdi, Bird Valley, Alandi. Boarding place is Bhosari. Per person ticket rate Rs. 500/-

Airport Buses
A city that’s turning into a focal point of growth have frequent visitors. PMPML endeavors to make transportation as convenient for them as possible. The Airport Special buses are specially run to offer travellers hassle free and comfortable ride to and from the airport. These AC, buses have, in no time, become the most popular choice of transport for many. Since reaching the airport on time is crucial, these buses are available at an interval of every 30 minutes on the route between Pune Station and the airport . Tickets to avail these buses can be obtained both online and offline. A total of 6 Ac buses cater the service from boarding points, Hinjewadi and Pune Station. The growing popularity of this service is a matter of pride for PMPML and we plan to strengthen these services.

Ladies Special
The city of Pune takes pride in being able to offer women a liberated and safe space to flourish. This could not have been possible without the support from PMPML. These buses are available both in the morning and evening to ensure that the mothers and the daughters of the city reach their destination safely. There are 5 Ladies Special buses plying on 4 routes at 9.00 AM and 5.45 PM. We plan to introduce more ladies special buses in coming days.

Pass/MI Card
Customised passes have been made available by PMPML to make travelling convenient for regular commuters, physically challenged travellers, reporters and those who have been freedom fighters. An array of passes can be obtained at a reasonable price from centres in both Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
While weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and annual passes make the daily commute easy for PMPML passengers, special discounted passes are available for the elderly, visually and physically challenged, freedom fighters.
